S/D
Guidelines
All
breedings must be approved - no
exceptions! Please do not
list any of our horses as parents for your models until
you have received our okay.
An ® in any of our horses' pedigrees indicates a real
horse. We have mostly BSO (breeding stock only) horses which
are kept for their lineage and do not have a model body
(or had a body but were removed due to another ID better
fitting the model). If a horse doesn't have an ® then
it is a model horse or BSO.
North Star's horses are aging, and therefore are allowed
to produce only aging foals. Foals are only 'born' starting
with both parent's first open year.
(PLEASE NOTE: Quarter
Horse stallions are available for 7 outside foals per year from
approved mares only. Please observe that NSS & its associate
retain the rights to at least 3 others [home breds] per stallion)
Please keep us informed on how our
horses' offspring do - We love hearing how they are getting
along!

Information on Foals/Outside Parents
When applying for an NSS sire or dam, please send the following
information for each foal:
Name of foal:
Breed: PLEASE NOTE
NSS mares who are CHs, SWs, or producers of such are privately
retained and not available for selection
Gender of the Foal:
Year Foaled (and at least 2 alternate years):
Color:
Owner's Name & Address: (Unless you want a dinky email
pedigree, but we need your address if you want the better
pedigree!)
If either the sire or the dam is not owned by North Star,
then I also need the same information on the sire or dam,
plus at least a 4x4 generation pedigree (or until each horse
reaches its first real ancestor). This helps me produce
a detailed pedigree!
I will send you a nice 4 generation pedigree (send SASE). Pedigrees
include first 3 generations (4 including your model) complete
with historical media, year foaled/died (place born & burried
when available) Don't forget to include a SASE for the return
of your certificates! Sorry, but we cannot approve any breedings
if there is no SASE included in our snail-mail requests.
